Dismissed and Expunged

CHARGES: Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest

FACTS:

As a flight attendant, your time at home with loved ones can be very limited. Unfortunately, a trip home to visit his mother for one flight attendant ended in a nightmare. After a night out at a local bar, a 23- year old man was found lying on the sidewalk of an unfamiliar street nearly passed out from intoxication. Multiple reports were made to the local police department in fear that this man’s life was in danger and officers arrived on scene to assist shortly afterwards. In an attempt to figure out what exactly had happened that led this young man here, police began to shake the man vigorously to help him gain awareness. The 23-year old man awoke suddenly and became very combative. He then attempted to run from the police officer confused on the situation. In the end, he was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

At the initial hearing, our Attorney argued to the Court for a recognizance bond, to allow the Defendant to be released and continue work. The Attorney was present in court on numerous occasions arguing for no probation since the Defendant is very rarely in the city of Columbus. The Prosecutor agreed that if the Defendant completed eight hours of community service, then the case would be completely expunged. The client finished his eight hours of required community service so his case was completely dismissed and expunged off of his record.
